Our Creative Process
The process of designing & developing a website can be very daunting. The process we use isn’t new to the design world, it’s been used, tried and tested and it works! We break the process down into phases; by doing so it creates less work, better time management and better communication for everyone involved.
This is our information gathering stage. We first sit down in a consultation meeting. Yes, a face-to-face meeting where we lay everything out. Find out what you want, and expect. That information is then processed into a plan. This strategically outlines future tactics, budget, timeline and technology needs for the project.
In this phase we get down to work. We start by addressing & organizing content, creating site maps, and page navigation. By the end of this phase you should have an outline of what the site will start to look like.
Here’s where the magic happens. We start by creating the visual interface for the website, keeping in mind the brand, target user, and current aesthetic and technical standards. Color palettes and graphic elements are developed to reflect contextual values.
It is now time to convert the interfaces into fully functioning websites. Upon completing the front end development and the integration of a CMS (WordPress), a working version of the website will be uploaded to a test server.
It’s been a long journey, but we’ve finally made it to the point where the site is ready to be launched! We will upload the site to the main server and make some additional backend tweaks, as well as compatibility testing making sure the site looks good on all browsers and devices.
